And then there were, uh, 4 more.

Yes, I’ve been told I have some sort of problem.  I have yet to find out what it is because I KNOW you’re not talking about my shoe thing.  I don’t think it’s a problem at all.  I find them.  I try them.  I buy them.  No problem.

After the mega-successful John David excursion, I accidentally landed at  The Shoe Company in Bayers Lake, NS, which, incidentally is right next door to Danier Leather Outlet.  I dropped my American Express card in there a couple times too, but that’s another post.

I’m not a huge fan of The Shoe Company, but where there are shoes, I must look.  So Savannah & I trucked on in, and she put on her personal shopper magic cloak and found me 5 more pairs of shoes!!  Now, I DO know when enough is enough, so I tried them all on… laboured intensively, then settled on 2 pair.  One pair was one I would have never chosen – a pewter wedge –  but she had the right instinct, and I love them now!  The other pair was a burgundy color that I didn’t already have (I forgot about the pair at home…)  but hey, they were only $14, AND they’re a t-strap. Lovely.

and THEN….. we went to Dartmouth Crossing so I could go to the Banana Republic outlet store (Bruce and Savannah waited in the car… they are the BEST husband and daughter ever!).  I got just a few little things in there and when I went back to the car, Bruce said, “You might as well go over to Laura – I”m having a nap”. Well, who am I to argue, so I toddled off towards Aldo (not Laura).  For those of you who don’t know, Aldo is a shoe store.  Surprise!!

Savannah stayed in the car again and continued to read.  Something I’m very happy about, because I much prefer to see a kid read than exercise their thumbs and eyeballs with texting and watching videos on an i-Pad.

I didn’t MEAN to buy 2 more pair, really, I didn’t, but you tell me this then.  How is one supposed to simply walk away from a sale where an item is $160 on sale for $20?  It’s just simply not done.  AND Savannah actually ended up getting a pair too that she absolutely loves.  You might not like em, but I was just so happy she liked something, I was all over it.  What do you think of these?  These particular spikey numbers were $110 on sale for $10!!

I gotta say, I like them!  The only thing I don’t like about them is that they make her about 4 inches taller than me!!  Even in bare feet, that 13 year old girl is a solid inch or so taller than I am and boy, does she ever love pointing that out!

Ok so those were her new shoes from Aldo… now here are mine from Aldo, as well as from the Shoe Company. The rest 2015

Now come on!  Look at those killer boots at the top!  They were $160 on sale for $20… that’s just silly.  The grey boots to the bottom right?  They’re so comfy, I don’t have anything like them, and they were $13o on for $20!

Savannah picked the pewter wedges (lovelovelove) and there are the burgundy t straps I got for $14!

It is all well and good.

Have I said I like my life?  I like my life.  A lot.
